Approve Events

An external stakeholder has submitted an event, now what?

1. Introduction

You will learn the process to review, edit, and approve or reject event requests to ensure proper publication.

2. Navigate to Pending Events

When you log into your hub with your admin credentials, navigate to the pending section.

3. Open Event Details

Here, we see that a Run Club has submitted a City Half Marathon. Click on more info.

4. Access Event Editing

You can edit the event, should you see something wrong and you want to fix it on their behalf.

5. Select Event Description

In the edit mode, you can change any details, fix typos, or add further information.

6. Save Event Changes

Hit save and publish. This will not publish the event, but save any of the changes that you've made.

7. Open Pending Admin Approval

Next, by clicking pending admin approval, you'll have the option to approve or reject the request.

8. Add Approval Comments

Any comment that you write will be sent to the leader. In this case, the Run Club, you could say I fixed a typo for you.

9. Approve Event Request

And then click Approve Request. If you click Reject Request, a message will also be sent to the leader so they can make the adjusts you request.

10. Confirm Event Approval

Once it's approved, you'll notice that this call to action button changes to their external registration link. If they did not include an external link, residents can register in the with platform. If any edits are made by the organizer, you will be prompted to reapprove the event.
