This tutorial guides you through scheduling the removal of your event from the calendar.
1. Understand Event Expiration Feature
On your hub, events expire from the hub at the time the event ends. In some cases, organizers may want the event to stay on the Hub longer, or not have a specific end time to share. This feature allows you to schedule when the event expires from displaying on the hub.
2. Create or Edit an Event
Create or edit an event to access the start, end, and closing fields. Ensure all of the mandatory fields are filled out as you go.
3. Set Event Start Date and Time
Choose the event start field to provide the date and time your event will begin.
4. No Event End Date and Time
For this first example, say we have a Council Meeting with no set end time. Leave the Event Ends At field blank and move to the next step.
5. Choose Event Removal Date
On the Close date field to select the date and time you want the event removed from the calendar.
6. Enter Close Time
With this information now filled out, the event will stay on the Hub until this date and time.
7. Select Closing Date In Addition
Alternatively, If you have an end time, select the date and time in the Event Ends At field. Residents will be able to see when the event ends. If you also add a close date, the event will remain on the hub until the selected closing date. If you only choose an Event Ends At date, it will be removed then.
8. Information
Once your event is published, you can click on the i button to see publishing details.
9. Settings
Here you will find when it was created, updated, published, scheduled to be removed from calendar and when registration opens.
